At first glance one can argue that Version 10.6 is not much of a numerical change from 10.5.  Don’t let the numbers fool and keep you from picking up a copy because although the interface didn’t see much of a difference, under the hood is what makes this upgrade worth the while. The Finder was rewritten completely in Cocoa, Quicktime’s interface and performance was overhauled for the better, and the overall installation will save your computer 6-10 gigs of hard drive space. In addition, the entire OS is now 64-bit which means applications have access to massive amounts of memory and simple tasks run zippier!
