2010: The year that will decide the future of a new decade!

January 19th, 2010

The start of the new year already has left signs of uncertainty and nervous feelings. With the continuous earthquakes happening all over the world, including Haiti, it is tough to keep a positive outlook.

Fortunately, despite shaky beginnings, I am determined to make 2010 a year with great changes both internally and externally. This year, we should look deep within ourselves at the core which makes us who we are and change any negative seeds. It is at the core where we’ll find our early flaws that grew to monsters of bad habits through the years. What creates change? Change is when a person consciously decides they want to do things differently, and then does it, all the time. To be successful with change, you must reinforce your decision and decide that it would now become a new part of yourself. Your thought process must change.

During the past decade, I have failed to constantly work out and keep up the motivation. I would go months of working out everyday and then stop for the next few months only to start over. I must keep reminding myself that although my day might be busy, or another aspect of my life has climbed the priority ladder, I must not make excuses to not work out or exercise. What’s more important than health? Nothing. Laziness only brings more laziness.

I hope 2010 brings positive changes to your life that will carry well onto the next decade. Lets make this beginning a template for greatness for the next coming years in our lives. We can do it, let’s take this journey together.

Quote of the Day: Plant your feet on the ground, head in the clouds, that way, you’re always within reach of the stars!”

TWO WORDS : Olivia Munn

November 4th, 2009

Olivia Munn from G4TV struts her good stuff for another photoshoot. Her reputation is catching on fire as her recent projects were with Playboy and The Hundreds magazine are well received. It looks like tech nerds aren’t the only ones keeping an eye out for the exotic beauty. I dunno, I think I see a shooting star!

Mixtape Madness: Lil Wayne has No Ceilings

October 29th, 2009

Those of you who are Lil Wayne fans already know that he’s known for his Mixtapes. Heck, that’s how he has garnered so many fans. It’s arguably the reason why his last record, Tha Carter III, sold so many copies in the first week (A Milli). Not only that, it seems like every hot artist regardless of genre wants him to put in a feature. He’s constantly putting in his two cents from Chris Brown’s ‘Transform Ya’ to Madonna’s pop track ‘Revolver’. His cult like following isn’t getting less fanatic either!

With his recent Mixtape ‘No Ceilings’, his reputation will only get more attention! Weezy’s gathered all the recent top Rap, R&B, and Pop records, gave it his million uppercuts, then murdered the tracks. Some are arguably better than it’s original counterpart. If you’re a rap fan, you will enjoy these track.

MUSIC VID: Bweezy is back and can he ‘transform ya’?

October 28th, 2009

It’s only been a few months after the incident with Rihanna, Chris Brown is back with a new single Transform Ya featuring Swizz Beatz and Lil’ Wayne. Is it a little too soon to be back in the public’s eye? All signs point to no. It sure feels like with the information super highway (internet), so much information is being pushed out to the public that they have moved on and forgotten. Maybe not forgotten but really don’t really give a damn. Seems like the public’s attention span has been shortened and desensitized only stopping to focus on better faster newer gossip.

Speaking of new stuff, this video actually is quite entertaining. The beat has a Transformers throwback to it and the lyrical theme and video references some things to Transformers as well. I am still surprised with the skills Wayne expresses on the mic, spitting simple, clever yet entertaining rhymes. Check it out!

Apple updates the iMac, Macbook (Plastic) and Mighty Mouse

October 23rd, 2009

Picture 1Apple recently upgraded their iMac, Macbook and Mighty Mouse (wireless). All of these upgrades are quite notable. Both iMac sizes have gained a few inches diagonally and sport new widescreen IPS panels that are LED-backlit and have 178-degree viewing angles — the 21.5-inch iMac has a 1,920 x 1,080 resolution, while the 27-incher comes in at a staggering 2,560 x 1,440.

The entry-level macbook model has finally made the jump to the sexy and non-flexing unibody of the Pro models. Although the unibody is a refreshing change, from recent reviews, the white plastic is somewhat easy to tarnish and scratch. Another disappointment is the price point of the macbook. Apple is still charging you $999 for this model.

The death of the Mighty Mouse was imminent. Apple decided to completely rework and innovate the mouse input norm and added touch sensitive controls to their new mouse dubbed the Magic Mouse! It’s wireless, sports bluetooth, and responds to gestures similar to the new multi-touch trackpads. It comes included with the purchase of an iMac but will run you $69 separately.

All these changes are improvements to the already stellar lineup. If Apple keeps this up, I’m going to be forced to buy some stock!

Call of Duty MW2 – Say Goodbye to Dedicated servers for PC?!

October 20th, 2009

modern-warfare-2-1

For those of you who haven’t already heard, MW2 for PC is going to have matchmaking similar to consoles instead of dedicated servers.  This has caused an uproar to the pc community, and I could see it being a problem myself.  I used to be a hardcore CS(counter-strike) player back in the day and this is a big NO-NO for pc gaming.

By having a dedicated server, players could benefit from a couple things consoles couldn’t:

  • Increase in players (ex. 12 players to 32 in a server) and access to exclusive areas of maps.
  • WAYY better latency then those with consoles.
  • Ability to choose what map, game type, how many players, or custom features/mods (custom maps thus increasing the life of the game).
  • It brought the pc gaming community together by allowing certain players to continually join the SAME server and group of players, creating a special bond with everyone (or so they say).

What do I say?

This is a drastic change for IW and over 110,000 players have signed a petition, to allow dedicated servers. IWNET is supposedly going to be the new host of matchmaking, similar to Blizzard’s Battle.net.  I’m going to get this for my PS3 anyways so I don’t really care, but thought it was interesting.  Either way, it’s gonna be a fun experience, and hopefully people realize that they are going to miss out if they decide to drop their preorders… Anyways!!

See you on PSN NOV10th people!!!!!

Peace.

Press Play Album Alert – Straight No Chaser Album Finally Released 10/19/09

Electric, powerful, melodic, and nostalgic are words that describe this sophomore album by artist Mr. Hudson. For those that don’t know Mr. Hudson, he was signed onto rapper Kanye West’s GOOD MUSIC label and was given an opportunity of a lifetime; to make an album with the assistance of production guru Mr. West.

“Do what you do and I’ll make your beats”  Kanye said to Mr. Hudson. Who would turn down an offer like that?

I’ve been anticipating his album since his first single, Supernova. Each song on the album carries strong melodies, refined production, well written verses, and a unique voice/sound. It includes features from Kanye West and Kid Cudi.  When you combine all of these elements together, you get an absolutely captivating album with classic tunes that will continue to play in your head even when the songs have long finished.

Do yourself a favor and pick it up. It’ll be eargasmic!

#78 The "MILF" Sandwich on Fresh Dutch Crunch Bread

#78 The "MILF" Sandwich on Fresh Dutch Crunch Bread

So I was in San Francisco today visiting a friend and decided to grab a bite to eat at a sandwich joint that was getting some hype. Ike’s Place as seen on Man Vs. Food. THE HYPE IS LEGIT!! Although we had to wait in line for about 15 minutes just to order outside, it was worth the whole ordeal. After waiting in line, upon ordering, the real waiting process began. People in front of us have been waiting according to what we were told, roughly about 45minutes. I came to believe that they weren’t lying. When their names were finally called to pick up their orders, people were literally hollering and hooting, ecstatic and ready to grub and so was I. The sandwich I ordered was the “MILF.”

It was D E L I C I O U S ! ! I totally recommend it and as a bonus, you also get a lollipop for desert. This “MILF” consisted of Halal Chicken Breast, Stuffed Jalapeno Poppers, Franks Red Hot Sauce, and Ranch. The flavors and aroma are fresh. The ingredients are a perfect mix for a mouth watering experience. The bread “Dutch Crunch” is completely fresh and toasty to where it crunches in your mouth. Absolutely DELICIOUS!

Hint: Make sure you don’t go out there while you are starving because the wait can Getcha!!

ENJOY! Bon Apetite!

HILARIOUS!! Entourage Fans – this was the greatest ending to this season.
